Additional facility
SRM’s sister company, Minerals Resource Management Limited, has added to its facilities by opening a new site at Kirkby in Liverpool.
Dedicated to the recycling of inorganic wastes via the cement industry, the company has moved into the former Kodak site in Acornfield Road, Kirkby, now known as Image Business Park.
A waste licence will be received shortly and the first unit on site will be for the processing of waste plasterboard and other gypsum containing wastes into a gypsum (trademarked as ‘Cemset’) suitable for use in the cement industry.
This will be followed by a unit involved in the production of ‘Cemfeed’, a trademarked product that mimics the combined raw materials needed to make cement.
